Assembly Building
Introduction
An Assembly Building is a structure designed and built to accommodate public gatherings. This includes any building or section where at least 50 people come together for activities such as amusement, recreation, social events, religious services, patriotic functions, civil meetings, travel-related purposes, and similar activities. Examples of such buildings are theatres, motion picture houses, assembly halls, auditoriums, exhibition halls, museums, skating rinks, gymnasiums, restaurants, places of worship, dance halls, club rooms, passenger stations and terminals for various forms of public transportation, and stadia.
These Buildings and structures are under Group D shall be further subdivided as follows:
Subdivision D-1
Buildings with seats more than 1000 persons
Subdivision D-2
Buildings with seats for 1000 persons
Subdivision D-3
Buildings with accommodation more than 300 persons
Subdivision D-4
Buildings with accommodation for 300 persons
Subdivision D-5
Building other than D-1 to D-4 at ground level
Subdivision D-6
Buildings having mixed occupancies of assembly and mercantile
Subdivision D-7
Building of Underground type and elevated mass rapid transit system
According to the Telangana Disaster Response and Fire Services Department’s circular memorandum,
• A Fire NOC is required for buildings that exceed 4 meters in height but the setback of these buildings must be as per GO 168 MA&UD

Notes
MOEFA System shall also include talk-back system and public address system for the occupancies given in the table for (d) (I) (iii) under A-5, (a) (I) (iv) and (a) (2) under C-I, and (a) (2) under D-I to D-5, in all buildings 15 m and above in height, except for A-3 and A-4 occupancies where these shall be provided for buildings of height 24 m and above. These shall also be provided in car parking areas more than 300 m2 and in multi-level car parking irrespective of their areas.
Required to be provided for building with more than two storeys (Ground + One).
