Business Building
Introduction
Business Building is designed and constructed to support business operations. This category includes any building or section used for business transactions, record-keeping, and related activities, such as professional offices and service facilities. It also covers public institutions like city halls, town halls, courthouses, and libraries, as long as their primary function is conducting public business and maintaining records.
These Buildings and structures are under Group E shall be further subdivided as follows:
Subdivision E-1
Building for Offices, Banks, Professional Establishments
Subdivision E-2
Buildings for Laboratories, Outpatient Clinics, Research Establishments
Subdivision E-3
Buildings for Electronic Data Processing Centres, Computer Installations
Subdivision E-4
Buildings for Telephone Exchanges
Subdivision E-5
Building for Broadcasting Stations, TV Stations and Air Traffic Control Towers
According to the Telangana Disaster Response and Fire Services Department’s circular memorandum,
• A Fire NOC is required for buildings that exceed 15 meters in height but the setback of these buildings must be as per GO 168 MA&UD
According to the National Building Code of India (NBC),
• A Fire Safety Audit and certifications are mandatory, which shall be obtain by the competent person or charted fire auditor by the council

Notes
MOEFA System shall also include talk-back system and public address system for the occupancies given in the table for (d) (I) (iii) under A-5, (a) (I) (iv) and (a) (2) under C-I, and (a) (2) under D-I to D-5, in all buildings 15 m and above in height, except for A-3 and A-4 occupancies where these shall be provided for buildings of height 24 m and above. These shall also be provided in car parking areas more than 300 m2 and in multi-level car parking irrespective of their areas.
